Job ID: 1945

Are backend development, database design, and scalable architectures where you feel at home? Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and contributing your expertise to a strong, cross-functional product team? Then join us as a Senior Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) and help us build robust, high-quality digital products – bringing the backend and database expertise that complements our existing strengths.

We develop new digital solutions for doctors and intelligently connect them with content, services, and industry partners. Our goal: a scalable, growth-oriented ecosystem that creates real added value in doctors’ daily work while also opening up new opportunities for other partners. We’re a fast-moving, experimental team with plenty of freedom to explore new ideas, make decisions, and shape how we build our products. To achieve this, we build two- and three-sided platforms and rethink content, tech, and communication – in an agile, modular, and user-centered way.

As part of the Thieme.Praxis product team, you will work closely with Product Management, UX, Engineering, and internal stakeholders from Marketing and Content. You will help bring key platform capabilities in-house, reduce vendor dependency, and take ownership of solutions from initial experimentation through to production.

Thieme is a leading supplier of information and services contributing to the improvement of healthcare and health. Employing more than 1,000 staff, the family-owned company develops products and services in digital and other media for the medical and chemistry sectors. Operating internationally with offices in 11 cities worldwide, the Thieme Group works closely with a strong network of experts and partners. The products and services are based on the high-quality content of Thieme's 200 journals and 4,400 books. With solutions for professionals, Thieme supports relevant information processes in research, education, and patient care. Medical students, physicians, nurses, allied health specialists, hospitals, health insurance companies and others interested in health and healthcare are at the focus of Thieme's activities. The mission of the Thieme Group is to provide these markets with precisely the information, services, and products they need in their specific work situation and career.

  • Work closely with Product Management and UX to turn ambiguous requirements into pragmatic solutions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
