Your new passion
- Hands-on Technical Leadership: Technically lead a team of engineers (internal and external) responsible for our e-commerce platform and subscription billing engine. You are a practitioner at heart, comfortable working in the codebase as well as driving architectural decisions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary technical partner for key stakeholders across Finance, Customer Success, Sales, CRM, and Product. You ensure that technical solutions are aligned with business requirements across the entire customer lifecycle.
- Modernizing the Ecosystem: Oversee the strategic modernization of our Shopware setup. You will drive the reduction of historical technical debt, improve performance, and ensure our frontend and backend architectures are best-in-class.
- Driving Subscription Management: Lead the integration and rollout of our subscription management solution. You will ensure integration into a seamless "Quote-to-Cash" process and support complex B2B and B2C billing models.
- Ecosystem Integration: Ensure our e-commerce stack is deeply integrated into the Thieme landscape, including our central Identity Provider, our ERP systems, and the data platform.
- Vendor Management: Act as the primary technical lead for our external implementation partners, ensuring their output aligns with our long-term architectural standards and strategic goals.
You inspire us with this
- Experience in building and scaling e-commerce platforms. You understand the complexities of checkout processes, payment integrations, and order management.
- Proven experience with modern SaaS subscription management tools (e.g., Chargebee, Zuora, or similar) and an understanding of recurring billing cycles and revenue recognition.
- You have successfully led engineering teams as a staff engineer or an engineering manager. You enjoy being "close to the metal", contributing to the codebase, and mentoring engineers.
- You don't just "build features"; you understand the business impact of technical decisions and can communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; German is a significant advantage to seamlessly interface with internal stakeholders.
